what? no posts??

that's cause the last month pretty much sucked rotten eggs!

Not sure if it's all the crap with Max, or not enough meds, or just what. But the last month has just been miserable. Don't even want to discuss it. Let's pretend it never happened.

I will however, sum up the situation with the 15 year old son: we have "taken our hands off the wheel" so to speak. After trying everything under the sun to get him to be responsible and do well in school and life. We are going to let him "run it in the ditch" on his own. Much like they say about alcoholics, if you can't help 'em up, then help 'em down. The idea is for Max to hit his own rock b0ttom of irresponsibility and THEN he will be ready and open to help. Until then, when our mouths are open, he just hears "wrrrraaaa wrraaaa wwrrrraaaa" like in the Peanuts' specials when the teacher would talk! The worst that will happen is when he fails classes this year, he will have to take them over. This will give him less free time at school next year, so it is not all bad. As long as he passes the state exam he took 2 weeks ago (and he's not ever failed the ISTEP in all these years, so we don't expect that to be a problem), and accumulates the credits needed to graduate, he will receive his diploma. He will then be able to enter the local community college if he chooses. We are not destroying his life by letting him make some big boo-boos here. He will be able to pick up the pieces and put together a plan. And he will likely care a lot more, because he will have to work for it.

'nuf said.
