Oh yeah!! It's my birthday . . . . .everybody dance!! The day wouldn't be complete without "that" phone call. Mom and Jim called and sang "Happy Birthday" to me. Everyone needs someone in their life to call them on their birthday and sing some lovely, off-key version of "Happy Birthday"!
The kids are home for a snow day. Although I'm puzzled as to why. There must be snow coming today later, because for now the roads are fine. As a matter of fact, I listened to the radio at about 5:30 am and heard that school was off. So I told the kids, we shut off our alarms and proceeded to sleep in (the MOST perfect way to spend a morning!!) When Tim got home from work about 7:50 AM, I asked about the roads (I hadn't even looked outside yet) and he said "They're fine. Maybe slick on a corner or two, but really no problem." YIKES! I'd planned to saunter into work about noon after the roads were cleared up. I sat up in bed and said "Damn, I better start getting ready for work then."
So here I am at work :0( But the internet connection is much better so all is not lost ;) Hopefully I can get the bulletin done, and a few other small things and then head home to hibernate for the weekend.
I've had 3 calls from home already, sheesh! From the phone calls it appears that the kids are working on cleaning up their rooms. Sounds suspicious, I know, but it's possible. Ellen has been invited to a slumber party on Saturday and knows she can't go unless her room is clean. So she is certainly motivated. The other two might just be bored, LOL! We'll see when I get home.
