so last night I couldn't fall asleep. So for hours my mind is wandering (that is a dangerous thing folks!) I was thinking about a funeral I went to last week. At the end the Priest says a prayer, something like "May his soul and the soul of all the faithful departed rest in peace." and the congregation responds "And let perpetual light shine upon them."
Really, PERPETUAL light??? That sounds a lot like morning to me, like snuggling in the blankets, somebody rips open the curtains kind of morning! And I am not a morning person. As a matter of fact, I once said that if I don't go to heaven, I'm surely going somewhere where it is morning and summer all the time! So what can I do to keep this perpetual light thingy from spoiling my heaven? (well, yeah, I could just be really bad and not go there, but um, then we're back to morning and summer all the time - ugh!) So, I ask my dear seester to be sure to outlive me, and then at my funeral after everyone says "and let perpetual light shine upon her" I've instructed her to say, "but be sure to give her some snuggly blankies to burrow in and hide her eyes!" There, problem solved.
Next up, I will tackle world peace ;)
